Jeff Cox is a shareholder and director with the firm. His
primary areas of practice are in the fields of business and
estate planning - working with clients setting up new
companies, buying or selling businesses, transferring
ownership of family businesses to their successors; and
working with clients in establishing and coordinating their
wills, trusts, living wills and powers of attorney. A well
respected legal advisor, Jeff serves as counsel to numerous
individuals and businesses, advising them in a broad range of
business and estate law issues. He is also general counsel for
one of Waco's most esteemed community banks and its trust
department, as well as advising and representing numerous
other banks and financial institutions. In the course of his
practice, Jeff has represented numerous clients in connection
with creditors' rights, loan documentation, loan workouts and
complex bankruptcy cases.
Jeff is actively involved in the Waco community, where he
presently serves as a deacon and chairman of the Finance
Committee of his church, and is the immediate Past President
of the Historic Waco Foundation.
Jeff and his wife, Julie, have been married since 1984, and
have two children. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys tennis,
skiing and coaching soccer.
